About
Why this exists, how a brief is made, and what it deliberately is not.
Why
Following the news costs more attention than it gives back. Feeds run without end, notifications arrive all day, and the same story is told twenty times before it has settled. Daily Briefs answers a narrower question: what happened on the subjects I follow, in the time it takes to make coffee.
How a brief is made
Every topic has its own set of press sources. Each morning the articles they published are collected, an editorial pass keeps the ones that matter for that topic, and those become a single short summary in the topic's own language. The summary is voiced, published here, and delivered on Telegram at 7:00. Every brief lists the articles it was written from.
What it is not
What has been left out is the point:
- Not a feed. One brief per topic, once a day, and nothing in between.
- Not an opinion. The summaries report what the sources reported, and name them.
- Not a replacement for the press. The articles are linked so you can go and read them, and the outlets that wrote them are the ones doing the work.
- Not funded by advertising, and not measuring you: there is no tracker on this site.
